Full budgeting, plus a portfolio most apps bolt on as an afterthought
Most budgeting apps treat investing as a balance pulled from an API and shown as a single number. Money Harbour treats it as seriously as the rest of your finances, because it was built by someone who actually holds multiple portfolios.
Real cost basis, not a blended average
FIFO, LIFO, or specific-lot: choose which shares or crypto are treated as sold first, the same choice a real broker or exchange gives you.
Realized and unrealized gains, separated
See what you’ve actually banked this period versus what’s still on paper, not just a total that moves with the market.
Every holding, one real net worth
ASX shares, US stocks, crypto: each held in its native currency, combined into one net worth at current rates.
Trade history import, done properly
Import your real exchange export as-is, including crypto-to-crypto swaps, correctly split into a linked buy and sell so cost basis never breaks.
Fees kept separate, for tax time
Brokerage and exchange commissions are tracked as their own line, not folded invisibly into the price, so a GST or cost-basis claim has the number it needs.
Prices without giving up your data
Live refresh from Yahoo Finance, Binance, and CoinGecko sends ticker symbols only, never your holdings, quantities, or identity.
The right coin, every time
Plenty of tickers are shared by unrelated projects. Money Harbour matches by the coin’s actual name, not just its symbol, so your BONK is never priced as someone else’s.
Rebalancing alerts you set yourself
Give any holding a target allocation and get flagged the moment it drifts, alongside an allocation chart and your biggest movers at a glance.
Nothing counted that isn’t really yours
Moved a coin to another wallet, or it was delisted? Exclude it from your totals with one tap without losing its history.
A look inside
The screens you’ll spend most of your time in.
Your finances stay on your phone
Money Harbour has no server holding your data, because it has no server at all. Nothing to breach, nothing to sell, nothing to opt out of.
Your bank credentials stay yours
Apps that sync your accounts do it by holding your bank login with a third-party aggregator. Money Harbour never asks, so there is nothing to hand over and nothing to lose.
No cloud account
No sign-up, no password, no profile. The app works the moment you open it.
No ads, no tracking
No analytics SDKs, no third-party scripts, no behavioural profiling.
Data stays on device
Every transaction, holding, and budget lives in local storage on your phone.
Export is yours
PDF, Excel, CSV, QIF, OFX/QFX and a full JSON backup. Take your records anywhere.
Works offline
No connection needed to open the app, enter a transaction, or run a report. Internet is only used when you refresh investment prices.
Locked if you want
Optional PIN app lock on top of your device’s own security.
Imports stay local
CSV, QIF, and PDF statements are read on your device and reviewed row by row before anything is saved.
Prices without profiles
A price refresh sends ticker symbols only, never your holdings, quantities, balances, or identity.
No sync doesn’t mean typing everything
Bank sync exists because manual entry is tedious, not because anyone enjoys handing over their login. Money Harbour solves the tedious part four other ways.
Your statement, in bulk
Download the CSV, QIF, or PDF your bank already gives you and import it. Every row is parsed on your device and shown for review before a single entry is saved.
Say it at the counter
Speak a transaction and the amount, payee, and a suggested category are filled in for you.
Bills that post themselves
Rent, insurance, subscriptions: set them once as recurring and they appear on schedule, with a reminder before the due date.
One tap for the usual
Bookmark the transactions you make constantly and re-enter them from the register in a single tap.

The full app, with room to spread out
On a bigger screen, Money Harbour switches to a side-by-side layout — a permanent nav rail and, on the Register, a detail pane that opens next to the list instead of covering it.
What other finance apps don’t do
We went through the top-selling budgeting apps feature by feature. These are the places we came out alone.
Stop paying and you keep your records
If your subscription lapses, everything you’ve entered stays readable and exportable. You just can’t add new records until you renew.
Works with no connection
Every competing app we looked at needs the network to be useful. Money Harbour opens, records, and reports with the radio off.
Void, don’t delete
A cancelled transaction stays in the register with its balance effect zeroed, and it can be reversed.
Deletion you have to mean
Removing an account, category, transaction, or holding takes a typed confirmation.
Locked the moment you switch away
An optional PIN lock, plus a screen that’s blanked in the app switcher so nothing is ever visible in a preview.
Backups go where you send them
Every export hands off to your device’s own share sheet. We never hold a copy.
No ads at any tier
Not in the free tier, not anywhere. The free version is a smaller Money Harbour, not an ad-supported one.
Free to start, subscribe when you outgrow it

About
Money Harbour is a personal finance and investment tracker for iOS and Android, built by Khattak Digital Media.
It started with a complaint we kept reading in reviews of other finance apps: they stop working the moment the connection does. A tool for your own records shouldn’t depend on someone else’s server being up.
So it was built around a simple constraint: the app should never need your bank credentials and should never need a server. Everything you record stays on your device, and everything you record can be exported in a format your accountant or your next app can read.
The record-keeping rules follow from the same idea: transactions are voided rather than deleted, accounts with history are archived rather than erased, and imports are reviewed before anything is saved.
